A typical day at St Paul’s Pre-School

Every day at St Paul’s Preschool is planned to give children a happy balance of routine, play, learning and rest.

We know young children feel more confident when they understand the rhythm of the day. Our familiar routines help children feel secure, while our flexible approach gives them time to follow their interests, play with friends and explore new ideas.

Routine with flexibility

Although we follow a daily structure, we also make space for children’s natural curiosity. If a child discovers something exciting outdoors, becomes interested in a topic or wants to extend their play, we will often follow that interest.

This helps children feel listened to and makes learning more meaningful.

From stories and songs to creative play, physical movement and quiet time, each part of the day supports children’s development in a gentle and age-appropriate way.

Our aim is for every child to feel included, settled and excited to return.
